To our point #3 above: Forterra OLIVE has been acquired by SAIC (http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/saic-purchases-simulation--collaboration-product-line-from-forterra-systems-inc-83237277.html) and the Sun Project Wonderland team announced that Oracle will not fund Project Wonderland moving forward (http://blogs.sun.com/wonderland/entry/good_news_and_bad_news). And additional vendors are in the mix, like IMASTE IPS (http://www.imaste-ips.com/).

Mark: Thanks for your kind words. By early mainstream, we mean that that enterprise immersive software will have a significant installed base within Global 1000 companies and large public sector organizations and at least a few successful very large-scale implementations. We expect adoption of enterprise immersive software to reach the early majority in this timeframe for several reasons: early case studies demonstrate return on investment; rapid advancements are occurring in hardware, software, and networking technology; the economy is slow and the green movement is hot; we live in a video game culture; large business technology vendors have entered the fray; and the prevalence of social networking, which makes it easy for innovators and early adopters to connect with each other. See the November 17, 2008 ThinkBalm report, The Immersive Internet: Make Tactical Moves Today for Strategic Advantage Tomorrow (http://www.thinkbalm.com/2008/11/17/thinkbalm-releases-its-1st-immersive-internet-report/).

All I can say is that I am glad I am 'linked in' to Erica, Sam and ThinkBalm. Thanks for such thorough coverage of the marketplace. I take great comfort knowing that ThinkBalm is out there covering every angle of the immersive 3D marketplace so that I can concentrate on our area of expertise, developing 3D training content. I cannot thank you enough.

As far as a substantive comment... I am wondering what you mean by 'early majority phase' predicted in 2013. What do the numbers look like at that point? Does that mean that training in virtual worlds will be as prevalent as Webinars, or that corporations will start to make significant investments in the technology. I know that you do not have the crystal ball, but am just interested in some clarity around the terminology.

thanks again
